Thermocold supplies several types of Norwegian-made units for both element-based cold rooms and self-built rooms.
The EC models are our latest series of units, these have a completely new design. The unit comes in three sizes (EC5, EC6 and EC10) depending on how large the cold room is. They have a super-insulated unit box that provides reduced running time and power consumption. These models deviate from our previous traditional light openings and are therefore not suitable as replacement units for cold rooms that already have the TC or TL series. EC5 which is used exclusively for our cold corners which have an inverter controlled compressor and the lowest power consumption.
The TC models were for many years our best-selling product for both cold rooms and cold corners. The TC units are based on the same base as the original TL units from Thermocold, and they are therefore well suited for replacing older TL and TC products. If you want a slightly more affordable unit, you can of course also use it in a new installation. The primary upgrade on the TC versus the TL units is the reduction in power consumption and the use of a more environmentally friendly refrigerant gas.
The FLEX model is a pure replacement unit that fits into a variety of light openings for several of today's and previously sold models from other manufacturers with slightly different light openings in the wall than standard TL/TC/EC units.
