Thermocold KFD AS
Thermocold KFD AS is a leading manufacturer of cold rooms and cooling units for the Norwegian and Nordic market. We are also Norway's largest manufacturer of wine units, as well as custom-made wine walls, wine rooms and wine cellars.
As a Norwegian manufacturer of cooling units and cold rooms, we have been making cold rooms for private households, shops, hospitals, schools, fish reception centers, research centers and anything else that needs cooling since 1986.
In recent years, we have developed a concept around our own wine unit that ensures optimal storage conditions for wine. We produce complete wine walls, wine rooms and wine cellars to measure, adapted to the individual customer's wishes and needs.
We offer Norwegian quality products with the market's lowest power consumption at competitive prices.
As the only manufacturer in Norway, we emphasize the products' lifespan, quality, environment, functional solutions and energy savings.
Since our inception in 1986, we have created cold rooms in various shapes and for various needs, so that our customers can make their dreams come true. We have made everyday life easier for many companies, and created solutions that no one else has been able to deliver.
Today, Thermocold KFD AS is located at Borgenhaugen in Sarpsborg, close to both the Norwegian and Nordic markets.

Thermocold = Work inclusion
Thermocold KFD AS has been actively working with work inclusion since 2012. It is important to emphasize that we are not an inclusion company, but that we have added work inclusion as part of our value base.
With work inclusion, we mean that everyone should get a chance, regardless of whether they have gaps in their CV or have been unemployed for a period of time. We believe that it is important to take care of the residual work capacity that lies unused in society.
Over time, Thermocold has established a conscious collaboration with NAV and the Delta group related to recruitment. Together, we work to map the individual's work ability to see how we as a company can best utilize this. Through tailored subsidies, we ensure that everyone benefits from the collaboration. The employee gets meaningful work, Thermocold gets a dedicated work resource without having to take a major risk, and the NAV/Delta group gets a person in work.
As of December 2025, we have employed a total of 33 people through this scheme. Most of them are working today, either with us or in other companies. We are proud that this value base has given us a good and inclusive working environment, and that we have contributed to major ripple effects in society.
If you would like to know more about our focus on work inclusion and how it benefits our company, please contact our production manager Bjørn Thøgersen for a conversation.
