Thermocold KFD AS is the market leader in the production of custom wine rooms on the Norwegian market. In February 2026, Thermocold will launch its new concept series with several standard wine room products that will be launched in the Norwegian and European markets.
"We have gained a lot of experience with what people want when they look for wine rooms. Based on this, we have created a series of concepts that will make it easier for customers to find the products they want," says Marketing Manager and Refrigeration Manager Jørgen Johansen. "The new concepts are aimed at both the private and professional markets. Within several of the concepts, one or two standard products are created that reflect what customers have purchased so far," he continues.
The biggest news is the launch of the Vinvegg Slim Line 600 series, which comes with the new wine unit EF5 Vin . This is a newly developed quality unit that is designed for wine walls up to 5m3. It is significantly narrower than the traditional wine unit, and therefore allows the new wine walls to be delivered with a depth of 60 cm. "This opens up completely new possibilities where you can, among other things, get wine rooms that fit into existing kitchen solutions. Furthermore, we see that the new Slim Line 600 product is well suited as a separate piece of furniture in the living room, without taking up too much space in the room. For restaurants, the Vinvegg Panorama Slim Line 600 will be able to offer the wine collection as a room divider in a very elegant way," says Jørgen.
To make it easier to find the perfect wine room product, Thermocold is launching a whole series of new concepts for the private and professional markets.
Private market:
- The "Wine Room" is the traditional "Walk in" wine room intended for both longer and shorter storage of wine. Two new standard models are being launched, Vinrom Small and Vinrom Large, which are designed for up to xxx and xxx bottles of wine. These are supplied complete with glass door, unit and wine shelves.
- The "Wine Wall" is designed to both display and store your wine in your private home. Two new standard wine walls are being launched, a "Slim line 600" and a "Standard 700" model. These are equipped with sliding doors, a unit, wine shelves and lighting.
Professional market (Hotel, restaurant, bars and shops):
- "Wine Wall Panorama" is a freestanding wine wall with glass on 2-3 sides that is specially developed to showcase wine in an elegant and practical way. It comes in two standard solutions, "Slim line 600" and "Standard 700", which are specially designed for restaurants and bars that want a piece of furniture in the room.
- "VinKuben" is a freestanding wine room with 3-4 glass walls for optimal visibility and elegance in restaurants that want to use wine as part of their overall impression. The wine cube comes in two standard variants, WinCube 2000 and WineCube 2600, with sliding door, wine unit EC15 Vin, wine racks and lighting.
Custom:
Thermocold is also launching two new concepts consisting of purely tailor-made products.
- The "wine cellar" is an extra large prefabricated wine room (from 15m3 up to 100m3) designed for storing larger quantities of wine. The wine cellar is supplied with a French WineMaster unit. The wine cellar is adapted so that you can display all or part of your wine collection by inserting glass walls and glass doors. Wine shelves and lighting are adapted to the individual room.
- The "Vintrappen" is a niche product for the private market that is adapted to sloping solutions under stairs. The wine ladder is intended for integration under stairs where the width of the stairs helps determine the depth of the wine room.
The new website of Thermocold KFD AS is designed so that it is easy to order standard products directly from the online store. At the same time, the website is designed so that you can use a simple form to receive a quote for a custom-made room. It is the individual customer who then helps design the new wine room.
